Privatizations
Privatizations mean that we lay key sectors of our national economy in the hands of multinationals or other private buyers. Privatizations most of the time are not warmly welcome wherever they happen, the reason being that privatizations do not care about the welfare of the citizens.
In the case of our country, the aforementioned buyers are foreigners and that is a serious problem that threatens our national sovereignty. Yes, that is what happens when the economy, the energy (water, power), communications are controlled by foreigners. I think we all measure the danger of the situation. To confide to foreigners so vital sectors of the life of the nation is the same as giving up the country to them.
If mismanagement is the reason given for the privatizations i think the solution lies in strict measures that must be taken in order to insure a healthy management of those sectors we privatize. We should not hide our face, privatizations at any cost for mismanagement reasons is a resignation, an avowal of failure from the part of the executive that failed to fulfill the mission the nation entrusted it with. Privatization can in no way be a solution. The only solution is a healthy and iron management.
