Government organization
For a country like Cameroon, with the population we have, the number of ministries in our government is much too exagerated. I do not think the real needs of the country explains that. If we go on like that, we might well soon find ourselves with one ministry per village. The risk for our government is to become a less respectable instituon as time goes by.
Is it necssary for cameroon that its government is made of all those ministers, vice-ministers, general secretaries with the rank of ministers, ministers with no portfolio? Our government is more a prestige thing than an instrument to serve the nation. One of these days we might have three or four vice-ministers for the same ministry. Let us please not be the country of all the excesses: excess in the number of ministries, exagerated number of political parties.
We will have to come back to a reasonable government organization and a reasonable number of political parties if we want to position Cameroon on an ascendant curve. The mission of the cameroonian government is to serve Cameroon and not a selected elite of Cameroonians. We as Cameroonians, we as Africans have goals to achieve, so let us not go astray. We must stay focused on achievement, success and victory. We have got task ahead.
