Many were the troubles and many were the setbacks yesterday. And yet, many are the troubles and many are the setbacks today. The only image that a malicious propaganda deliberately shows of our people is a one of failure and misery. Reality nevertheless, tells a whole different story which says that through thick and thin our people is marchin' in. The perverse effect that propaganda has on the Africans of the world- the ones stolen away from the motherland as well as the ones that remained in the motherland- is to lead them to self-hatred and doubt. Many mountains done been climbed yesterday and many rivers are still being crossed today. Many obstacles done been put on our way yesterday and many are the barriers that are still being broken today. Many were the victories yesterday and many are the triumphs today, each and every day.
Yes, our people done endured physical slavery for ages; our people done endured dehumanization; our people done endured the chains; our people done endured the whip and the mutilations, the lynching; our people done endured deportation. Our people has fought all that and our people has triumphed over that all. This we should not forget.

No, our people has not completely triumphed yet, no, far from that. Oh yes, many other victories are still ahead of us. No, the struggle against mental slavery, the struggle against mind alienation is not won yet. Still, like all the previous struggles we have won, this struggle too we will win up, this is a fact.

Yes, to this day and hour the African continent still remains under the political and economical domination of foreign nations. Like all the previous struggles we have won, this struggle too we will win up, this too is a fact.
The unity of Africa is in my opinion the major challenge the black people has got to deal with. Personally, I see the unity of Africa as the key to the solution of the global black problem. It is not so long that the question of a unified African State has been discussed on the table of the African Union. This act many might consider minor nevertheless stands for me as a major progress in the actual unification process of the continent. The process is under way and the process is irreversible. There is no possible turning back now. Like all the previous struggles we have won, the struggle for the political unity of Africa we will win up too, this is a fact.
The scattering of the African people all over the world is a problem to solve. This problem will be solved. To this day, many Africans among those deported in Jamaica, in the Caribbean, in the United States of America have already returned to the land of our ancestors and even settled there. In Benin, in Senegal, in Ghana to name a few, the return to Africa is a fact today and not a mere distant dream. Things are in progress. Summits reuniting Africans from the continent and Africans from the slavery deportation have already been held in various capitals in Africa, showing the will for all the children of Africa to meet again. We should doubt no more now, all the african energies that are scattered all over the world will form a synergy; they in fact will federate around a common project of civilization and influence, and so make the Pan-African horizon a reality. The Africans who have been separated for so long in space as well as in time by the tragedy of slavery will act as a network in order to reconstruct the African Entity. What I want to state here is that the equation of the scattering too we will solve completely just the way we will win up in totality all our struggles, this is a fact.
The computer science revolution of the Internet that has transformed the way human beings communicate all over the world bears the sign of the scientific genius of an African man. It is a fact, our people is marchin' in and on.
It happens that in the United States, a son of that people who has massively been deported as slave is now ruling the world biggest power, only forty year after the Africans gained their voting right as well as the full exercise of all their civil rights in that country. This major event of this beginning 21st century is the unmistakable sign that against all odds the history of the African people is on its way.
Yes, our people is marchin' in. Yes our people is marchin' on. Our people will win up all the struggles started yesterday and that are still fought on today. The victories of yesterday and today, though sometimes timid, will grow bigger and bigger to become the triumph of tomorrow. Our fights we will all win up, in totality, one after the other, to the very last one, this is a fact. The African people Renaissance will be a reality. The unified African State will be a reality. The federated African space will come true in totality, culturally, politically, economically. The process is already under way, and what to this day only happens for regions will spread in the whole continent.
The time has come for our people to get rid of their inhibitions and start realizing that nothing is ever impossible. We will have to open the doors that are still closed for us today. We have the energy, we have the power, we have the science, we have the resources to do it. Despite some people's opinion our people is actually marchin' in. Victory is the direction that glorious march takes. The 21st century must witness the fulfillment of the black people.
